CREATIVE TEAM
KAT VECCHIO, Director and Producer has a diverse background in film, television, commercial production and theatre. She has directed Off Off Broadway theatre in New York, most recently for Extant Arts Company. She has also created documentary style promotional shorts for Extant Arts and Gotham Girls Roller Derby as well as other companies in New York. Her interest in roller derby started in 2005 and her knowledge the sport was honed during her three and a half years as a skater. This Is How I Roll is her first feature film.
JOE MIHALCHICK, Producer, co-wrote, produced and co-starred in the feature film, Homecoming (Best Feature, Southern Winds Film Festival, Winner, Jury of Peers Screenwriting Award). A graduate of Drew University, Joe currently skates for the New York Shock Exchange, where he’s better known as Maulin’ Brando.
ADAM KURNITZ, Editor, served as additional editor on the narrative films Nancy, Please and The Discoverers and the documentary Fallout. He worked for years in production, working in the locations department on features and commercials before becoming an editor. Adam was born and raised in Coney Island. He studied comp. lit. and film theory at Brooklyn College.
KELLY DESMOND BRAY, Motion Graphics, is a Video Editor and Motion Graphics Designer based in Brooklyn, NY. With a background in print and web design, Kelly has been making graphic animations since 2002 for clients such as Starwood Hotels, Ciroc Vodka, A&E Network, National Museum of the Marine Corp, Hasbro Toys, and Scholastic Publishing. – www.rarebitproductions.com

ABIGAIL E. DISNEY is a filmmaker and philanthropist. Her longtime passion for women’s issues and peacebuilding culminated in her first film, the acclaimed Pray the Devil Back to Hell, about the Liberian women who peacefully ended their country’s fourteen-year civil war. She is currently Executive Producer of the groundbreaking PBS mini-series Women, War & Peace, the most comprehensive global media initiative ever mounted on the role of women in peace and conflict.
Along with her husband, Pierre Hauser, Abigail co-founded the Daphne Foundation, which works with low-income communities in the five boroughs of New York City. Her work in philanthropy, women’s engagement and leadership, and conflict resolution has been recognized through the Epic Award from the White House Project, the Changing the Landscape for Women Award from the Center for the Advancement of Women, and the prestigious International Advocate for Peace (IAP) Award from the Cardozo Law School’s Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution. In addition, Abigail holds degrees from Yale, Stanford, and Columbia. She lives in New York City with her husband and four children.
